Things to do
The Count House is set in a lovely tranquil location with far reaching views. Guests are welcome to wander through the six acres of paddocks, orchards and woodland at Capeltor where deer, bats, swallows and brimstones can on occasion be spotted.
The Tamar Trails
The Count House is next to an area known as Tamar Trails which was formerly the Great Devon Consul Mine. Now it is an expanse of woodland with 25km of well maintained tracks for walking and cycling. Mining Archaeology can still be seen amongst the trees to remind you of its past. Tamar Trails also offers bike hire, tree surfing and canoe trips.

Dartmoor National Park with its miles of breathtakingly beautiful rugged moorland, iconic Dartmoor ponies and magnificent granite tours is a short drive away.
