Arts and Theatre

Plymouth houses The Theatre Royal which is a producing as well as a receiving house. For a little bit of open air theatre Sterts and Pentillie Castle (pictured above) have something to offer. Further afield on the north coast, the Minack Theatre with its spectacular setting perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea is well worth a visit.

Green Hill Arts in Moretonhampstead shows a very good selection of local artists as does The Limekiln Gallery in Calstock. Coombe Trenchard have a yearly sculpture show in their gardens.

Live music can be found at Calstock Arts Centre. Tavistock and Okehampton both have cinemas.
